Learn it first: how to measure your own paperwork, by hand.
Pick one task you do every week, like a progress report. The next time you do it, keep a tally on paper: one mark for every click and every copy-paste, and write down the time you start and the time you finish. Do it twice. Now you know what the task really costs you, and you can compare any tool, DRAGEN or not, against your own number instead of a sales pitch.
Made-up example. A made-up BCBA, Jordan, tallies one progress report: 186 marks, 9:05 to 11:20, so 2 hours 15 minutes. Jordan writes 6 a month. That is 13.5 hours a month on one kind of document. Each video below shows the same kind of number: the clicks, counted, and the time, on a real clock.

The small task. The first saves 10 minutes a week. The second saves 4 minutes, 20 times: 80 minutes a week. The tasks you do most often are where the time goes, even when each one feels quick. That is why a tally beats a guess.
