Meet the Dragen.
I am Chase Alexander Hought, M.S., BCBA. I am a Board Certified Behavior Analyst who works in schools, and I am a software engineer. I build every DRAGEN tool myself.
That combination is the point. The person who designs the software also knows the job it is for.

The story
A behavior analyst who taught himself to build.
I was born and raised in the Coachella Valley, and I have been writing code and scripts since I was a kid. It started in RuneScape, slaying dragons, and it never really stopped.
I never took the computer science route, and that was a choice. School moved too slowly for the things I wanted to build, so I taught myself and built them. I put my formal training into behavior analysis instead, because engineering was something I could learn on my own.
Being a BCBA is my passion, not a fallback. I have been in schools and I have interviewed teachers, and I build each tool, test it, and keep it only if it holds up on a real day.

Building toward a practice that serves kids.
DRAGEN is the first step of a longer plan. The software gives teachers and clinicians their time back today. What it earns goes toward the next step: a behavior-analytic practice of my own, serving kids and families, run on the same rule as the software: a person makes every decision.
I am building for families too: a family's own DRAGEN hub, at home, where the paperwork about their kids stays in their house.

Did you really build it yourself?
Yes. I design, build and test DRAGEN myself. There is no outside development team behind it, and the person who answers your email is the person who wrote the software.
How long have you been coding?
Since I was a kid, scripting in RuneScape. DRAGEN is years of development pointed at a real job.
Why behavior analysis?
Because it is my passion. The software exists to give people in schools and clinics more time for the work that actually helps kids.
What do you do when you are not building?
I lift. My best lifts are a 505 lb deadlift, a 420 lb squat and a 315 lb bench. I also play golf, off a 4.4 handicap.
Gaming?
Yes. I have a gaming PC, and I have been at a keyboard since the RuneScape days.
